Activist, author and speaker, Zoe Nicholson presents her story about the 1982 fast for the Equal Rights Amendment. Leading the audience through this living history with slides and actual documents she shares her intimate diary about traveling to Springfield, Illinois, joining with 6 women and living on only water for 37 days.
Zoe sat in the eye of the political storm and searched for spiritual insight. She shares her confusion, idealism, spiritual longing and hunger for justice. She shares it all from Phyllis Schlafly to Governor James Thompson, Mahatma Gandhi to Dick Gregory. Her personal and private story is filled with politics and prayer. Historical and inspiring, she speaks from the heart with intimacy and humor.
